The Kakao on Rothschild Street in Tel Aviv was a wonderful surprise. Last week my wife and I stayed over night in Tel Aviv at an Israeli hotel with no Kosher breakfast. The hotel management recommended the neighboring bistro cafe Kakao on Rothschild with which they have an arrangement for a Kosher breakfast.
The polite Kakao waitress suggested what to order and was fair enough to say that each portion was enough for two. She should have said for four! When the fantastic breakfast arrived we were very pleased. No diet on that day! Service was fine. There is a fine view of Rothschild Boulevard. It is a great location. You can sit over coffee and pastry for hours to watch the pedestrians, bike riders, scooter riders, runners and dogs on leashes (!).
IsraelandYou Recommendation: If you are in Tel Aviv on business or pleasure choose Kakao on Rothschild. It is your Kosher alternative.
The Kakao is a network of dairy cafes, started in 2004. The branch on Rothschild is Kosher – and Kosher restaurants are not easy to find in Tel Aviv. Enjoy a delicious breakfast or a full lunch or dinner meal.
