Christmas in Bethlehem

Christmas in Nazareth, an Arab christian city in the north of Israel is also worth a visit. You can join the annual parade to the Basilica of the Annunciation in Nazareth, which is the official opening of the christmas happening, watch a great fireworks show or shop in the local christmas market!

Christmas in Jerusalem is lot’s of fun and who knows, you might even score some snow. Besides the fact that Jerusalem is always full of joyful Christian tourists, it is also the home of a big and diverse Christian community. Christ Church, located next to Jaffa Gate inside the walls of the old Old City is a good place to start though it can be a bit crowded. If you are looking to a more subtle version, try exploring other Christian sites such as Mary’s Dormition Church on Mount Zion, the Tomb of the Virgin on the Mount of Olives and the Garden Tomb.
Christmas Spirit
