The shores of Lake Kinneret (Lake of Genneseret) also known as the Lake of Tiberias are home to a series of Christian religious sites dating back to Jesus and the apostles. The serenity of the churches and and their unique architicture draw many pilgrims and tourist daily. You don’t have to be a Christian to appreciate the beauty of these sites. The Church of the Primacy of St. Peter is a Franciscan church located in Tabgha, Israel, on the northwest shore of the Sea of Galilee. It commemorates Jesus’ reinstatement of Peter as chief among the Apostles.
