In Arad, a city in southern Israel, there is a famous glass museum presenting the works of the resident artist Gidon Fridman. The Arad Glass Museum is interesting. It is a lovely family-run vision established in order to fulfill one man’s dream. Gideon Fridman wanted to build an Israeli home and the right stage for glass art in Israel. Very artistic, with lots of very cool pieces and a nice back-story.
Established in 2003 as a permanent home for Gideon Fridman’s creations. Fridman uses recycled glass bottles and window glass to create something new and beautiful. There are many different ways of analyzing the sculptures, for they can looks like various things. Fridman uses sculpturing ovens that he invented and built by himself, to make the special effects.
The museum has a main exhibition hall presenting the glamorous sculptures, there is a gallery shop and a screening room for a movie showing Fridman’s history and how he came to do what he does. There are also special rooms for people who are interested in learning how to make glass sculptures.
