Do you want an unforgettable experience in the greenhouses of the Habsor region in the northern Negev? Join a Salad Trail (Shvil HaSalat) tour planned and guided by agronomist Uri Alon (a specialist in international agriculture). This is Israel’s tastiest attraction. Visit tomato greenhouses, flying strawberry orchards, Chinese orange orchards. Release homing pigeons, inspect herbal greenhouses, walk in carrot fields, bake pitot, and explore a genuine passion fruit maze. Groups are divided up by age and language (Spanish, French, Russian, English, Dutch, Portuguese and Hebrew).
Learn about agricultural high-tech, environmental techniques, the history of the fruits & veggies, and pick up an understanding of biopesticides.
The tour lasts 2-3.5 hours. The tour is suited to all ages and all the yearly seasons.
